I want to thank you on behalf of our congregation for being a guest Shabbat leader this past weekend. Your teachings were insightful and inspirational. We loved your upbeat melodies and really appreciate your kavanot. Thank you for making the Shabbat a wonderful experience for us. With much gratitude! B'shalom, RG,Sudbury, MA

.. this was .. the first YK where the liturgy was expressed with joyfulness and not doom and gloom. I have never experienced the liturgy in this way....ever. My spirits were lifted in ways I cannot actually put into words. Rabbi Lev really knocked it out of the park at having us look at it from this lens.

It is my sincere hope that this wont be the only time he will grace us with his words, his guitar and great niguns, and his optimism. I would like to see all my future YK services thru this lens, and never look back on the doom and gloom. With gratitude, M, West Hartford

I'd like to extend my gratitude and thanks for the beautiful day of prayer we experienced together yesterday.  Rabbi Lev, you were able to combine a lovely message of love and peace along with the traditional themes of Yom Kippur.  I find much of what we shared still resonates with me today… Peace and Blessings, H, West Hartford

I was very moved by your Kabbalat Shabbat service leadership. It satisfied a yearning I’ve been having in services lately. Your combination of singing/guitar, choice of songs and melodies, Torah teaching, meditation guidance, heart and soul are just right. Rabbi J, Newton

We really enjoyed getting to know you over the past year, and loved the wedding ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful. Our friends and family are still raving about it, saying how great it was. We can't thank you enough!" L&B, Branford, CT

Thank you so much for making our simchat bat so special. You did such an amazing job bringing meaning and keeping things light and fun at the same time. You made our lives so easy in the process. Everything was so well put together and flowed so well. It made everyone feel at ease and involved.  And, little Ana was so thrilled to have her song as the finale. It was so easy and such a pleasure working with you. Now, that we got the process down, we really should consider having another baby… R, Needham, MA

Lev was giving a Friday night D’var in our synagogue recently, when as part of his delivery he clapped his hands. At that moment—there was a lightning flash.  Coincidence?  Perhaps not considering Lev’s great ability to engage with the congregation and speak meaningful words of Torah! M, Wayland

Lev brings a lot of thoughtfulness to services, with deep sermons, great participatory music, all combined with the perfect amount of humor. E, Brookline, MA

Lev Friedman is the Jewish spiritual leader that brought me back to Judaism.  When I entered his Rosh Hashanah service years ago, the warmth, beautiful music, and meaningful teachings kept me engaged.  I have learned much from Lev.  He officiated at my wedding and did baby namings for my kids.  He created a community of leaders and seekers. I continue to love his teachings and enjoy his music whenever I can.  He will always be one of the rabbis and people that have most influenced the course of my life. JL, Newton, MA

I cannot thank you enough for what you did on Friday. You struck the perfect note (as they say) and you touched everyone's heart, as you always do.  I cannot tell you how many folks remarked to me about you.  R. liked you so very much and respected your unique approach to Jewishness and Judaism. And one thing about R. is that he did not bestow praise lightly. As I said, I started thinking that I needed to contact you when he was in the hospital and things started looking poorly.  I had no plan B. So grateful I found you, R. would not have wanted anyone else. With love from P, Brighton, MA

Growing up secularly Jewish with a spiritual bent, I found the B'nai Or community led by Lev Friedman. He  guided us with soulful songs, accessible Jewish learning and down to earth wisdom. This community is my extended family who have shared a lifetime of rituals, milestones and challenges. It is with deep gratitude that B’Nai Or has been in my life and for the vision and authenticity that Lev’s leadership helped to allow this community evolve.  M, Newton. MA

We did not have to look far to find the perfect person to officiate at our wedding ceremony. He is loving, warm and adept at bringing the congregation into a circle of love. He is a natural. People remember our ceremony as a wonderful and meaningful one and we feel this is in large part to Lev. T, Arlington, MA
